Terry Shaunessy has over 30 years of capital markets and institutional portfolio management experience. The evolution of capital markets over the past three decades --- particularly in terms of the deployment of new technology and hedging strategies --- has helped shape his view that equity markets have become efficient. Accordingly, investors are best served by a quantitative approach to investing with an emphasis on asset allocation, diversification and minimizing costs. Terry’s significant experiences include:

Ms. Katie
Trafford

Katharine (Katie) Trafford, CFA, Portfolio Manager:

Ms. Trafford brings considerable analytical and financial management capabilities to the Shaunessy team. Katie has over 15 years of senior institutional equity sales, trading and investment banking experience, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a Masters Degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Dundee. Her capital markets credentials include senior roles with:

• CS First Boston ( Canada ), Richardson Greenshields and RBC Dominion Securities. Ms. Trafford was also a Partner and Director of Richardson Greenshields.

Ms. Katharine Eirich

Katharine Eirich, Vice President, Administration:

Ms. Eirich has been a leader in providing accounting and administrative services for over twenty years.  Her key credentials are her ability to create effective systems that provide timely and accurate financial and administrative services. Her past experience includes managing payroll for over 10,000 employees for a large independent oil and gas company to providing accounting and finance services to several medium sized businesses.

Kryzan

Mark Kryzan, Vice President, Client Services

Mark Kryzan is a seasoned marketing professional with over ten years of public markets experience in investor relations. His experiences in dealing with investors, brokers and analysts as well as the unpredictability of stock markets converted Mark to asset-driven investing long before joining our firm. Mark’s contribution to Shaunessy Investment Counsel Inc. is in the marketing of our investment instruments and services and his strong investor and client orientation which ensures that we address the needs of our clients. Mark has a MA in Public Administration from Carleton University and a BA Honours in Political Science and English Literature.
