Our company exists solely for the purpose of managing institutional and individual segregated portfolios in the manner described above. We can do this because:

(1) all of our clients have similar goals: namely to preserve capital, then make absolute returns with a very high level of confidence in whomever they have entrusted with their assets
(2) we are our own bosses but we are paid solely by you, our investment clients. Our future is inextricably linked to our clients, but it’s not a contradiction to say it’s up to us how that future looks.

We think that, irrespective of the marketing hype, many institutional and private clients get a raw deal from traditional investment managers or the funds that they invest in. Often times, clients too are their own worst enemy, so there’s plenty of blame to go round.
